Joan Eichenberger

Joan Eichenberger was born in Madisonville, Kentucky on July 25, 1934 to parents John and Alma Hambaugh. Joan passed from this life peacefully in her sleep the evening of Monday, February 8, 2016. Joan met her husband Don when she was 18 years old and their love story continued for 64 more years. Joan's love of family was evident in her joy of celebrations and zest for gatherings any time of the year with her greeting smile and a zealous "hi" to all upon arrival. She is survived by her husband Donald, sister Pat Porter and her husband Bill, sons David Eichenberger, Duane Eichenberger and his wife Lott, John Eichenberger and his wife Janita, Bruce Eichenberger, daughter Deborah Russell and her husband Michael, grandchildren Brian Eichenberger and his wife Katy, Aaron Eichenberger, James Eichenberger and his wife Lisa, Angie Huffman and her husband Hunter, Mitch Russell and his wife Nina, Audrey Eichenberger, James W. Eichenberger, Steven Eichenberger, Simon Russell, Evan Russell and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service to honor Joan's life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at West Plano Presbyterian Church, 2709 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75075 with The Reverend Dr. David Batchelder officiating. Joan will be laid to rest in her home town of Louisville, Kentucky in March.
