Annette Yvonne Peterson was born to Elmer and Mary Ann "Mae" Lind (nee Cota) in Becker, Minnesota on February 1, 1937. She joined our Heavenly Father on January 8, 2016.
A loving wife, consummate mother and part-time homemaker, Annette was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Known for her compassion from an early age, Annette spent many years assisting her family with difficult births and ailing relatives. She enjoyed many professions during her life including secretarial, paralegal, seamstress and cook. Over the years she worked in numerous food service industry positions including the Plano Independent School District and for Marriott Food Services. She also loved to watch game shows and the weekly Mass. Annette was a huge fan of crossword puzzles, solitaire and viewing and commenting on loved one's photos and updates on "The Facebook".
Annette had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. Over the years, she was very involved in numerous military support organizations as many of the members of her immediate family have honorably served their country. Annette also extensively supported the North Texas Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society.
Annette is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Donald Peterson, her son Greg Peterson and wife Jacy, and her daughter Susan Schmidt and husband Eric. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kyli Utley, Keenan Peterson, Kierra Peterson, Jack Schmidt, Chris Schmidt and wife Chrissy and Trevor Schmidt. Annette has one great granddaughter, Callie Ackerman. Annette is survived by numerous siblings and in-laws; Peter Lind, Caroline Horwath, Leonard Lind, Richard Lind, Donna Wink, Lois Herold, Pat Anderson, Janet Nelson and Nancy Nord.
A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Dr., Plano, Texas 75075. A reception will follow the service at 1627 Amherst Dr., Plano, Texas 75075.
