Peter H Frank

December 28, 1940 — October 27, 2015

On Dec 28, 1940 at precisely 10:36 PM at Children's Hospital in Buffalo, New York a sweet little boy with blond hair and blue eyes was born. His parents named him Peter. He had an older brother, Billy, who was keen to play with him. Peter was a curious little kid investigating about everything at 8 months and then started walking when he was 16 months. On October 10, 1941 he had his very first haircut. He was an industrious sweet kid. He helped his mother set up the dinner table when he was 3 and helped washed the dishes when he was 4. He gives his mom surprise presents when he was 5. When he grew up, he went on and served his country by joining the Navy during the Cuban crises. He then worked for so many years at Richardson electronics where he eventually retired. He met Ed Tatom at Richardson who became a close friend and introduced him to his cousin Lilia Tatom, through mail, who was a nurse in the Philippines back then. Peter went to Manila in 1984 to meet her, fell in love and brought her with him to the US where then he became a devout catholic and married her. He is survived by Lilia, his wife of 30 years. They were not able to have children of their own but been blessed with plenty of nieces and nephews who adore him. Peter and Lilia are active members of St. Marks parish where they went spent most of their time. They went to St. Mark's every morning to open the church doors. Peter served as a sacristan in most of the mass services. He was a volunteer of numerous charity organizations like St. Vincent de Pauls that served the poor and the needy. He just recently volunteered for the Serra club of North Dallas that fosters and promotes vocations to the ministerial priesthood in the Catholic Church and supports priests in their sacred ministry. Peter and Lilia travelled the world and visited places like Japan, Thailand and the Philippines, the last of which was January 2015. They both have explored most countries in Europe and Israel where they went and saw the birthplace of Jesus. They loved doing long roads trips and visited several majestic places in the United States. Peter has been a real stand-up guy, an honest man, a loving husband, a good friend and a wonderful uncle. He will surely be missed. Peter is survived by his loving wife Lilia Frank, brothers and sisters in law, Samuel Tatom (Josephine), Antonio Tatom (Jane), nieces and nephews Joahna, Sharon, Siegfred, Stephen, Ma. Lourdes, Jason, Valerie, Arvin and Dexter. A rosary will be recited Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 6:30 PM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Dr., Plano, Texas 75075 followed by a vigil at 7:00 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 1:00 PM followed by a reception at 1105 W. 15th St., Plano, Texas 75075.
