Roberta F Ehmer

Roberta F Ehmer was born September 20, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Franklin and Arlene Patmore. She passed from this earth into a life eternal with her Lord on October 19, 2015 in Plano, Texas. Our mother was a great mother! Even the other children in our neighborhoods loved to come to our house for playing with us, sometimes eating lunch or dinner with us and always commented that they would rather be at our house than their own homes! They would comment on how clean and neat our home was all the time. Our mother took her responsibilities extremely seriously. Her greatest joy was during the years she was raising her children and then having the opportunity to enjoy her grandchildren as well. She took the time to help us to memorize Scripture and taught us the important Bible stories that all children should know as a foundation to their future adult life. But she didn't stop there; as we grew she went into deeper studies of the scripture. We remember her going through Philippians, Ephesians and other letters of the apostle Paul for example. Even though finances were often difficult, she made it a point to make sure that she was home when we got home from school, if she did have to work during the day. She saw us out the door in the morning and was there to greet us in the afternoon. The fruit of her labor has been that all four children have grown up knowing the Lord Jesus Christ, walking with Him and have been involved in various ministries to this day. We give God glory for the work He did through her in us as her children and therefore her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well...! God is good, all the time! Roberta is survived by her children Paul Ehmer, Jr. and his wife Betty, Dale Ehmer and his wife Pat, Kathy Cantrell and her husband Howard and Debbie Berry and her husband Brian, eleven grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, sister Lenore Ekar and her husband Al. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Ehmer. A memorial service to celebrate Roberta's life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 12:30 PM at Chase Oaks Church, 281 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas 75025.
