Aida Esperanza Ortiz (nickname China and Negra) was born June 22, 1949 in Milagro, Ecuador to parents Aide Esperanza de Constante de Zaldumbide and Luis Alfonso Zaldumbide larrae. She died on September 17, 2015 at the age of 66 and is now resting in Peace. She attended Kinder-Middle school (Elizalde Vera) in Ecuador and high school (Roosevelt High School) in Manhattan, New York. Aida is survived by her siblings Haydee, Luis, Ricardo, and Grima. She married Flavio Enrique Ortiz on January 31, 1973 in Los Angeles, California. She most recently resided in Allen, TX. They had 2 sons Flavio Amado and Jonathan Alfonso Ortiz (wife Daisy Garcia Ortiz) and 2 grandchildren Cheyanne Doreen Ortiz and Flavio Ortiz, Jr. The moments Aida loved the most was being surrounded by the children in her life. She was filled with love, joy, and never missed a moment of laughter. She will also be missed by her pet Chihuahua Mimi. She is predeceased by her father and grandchild Haven Kennedy Ortiz. She had an abundance of friends that she loved and adored starting with her childhood to the Fannie Mae staff and including her brothers and sisters of the Kingdom Hall. Aida always was a hard worker who excelled in everything she did and was recognized in all aspects of life and work. She dedicated the majority of her work life to Fannie Mae and retired from there after 35 years. She had a passion for helping change peoples' lives. Her hobbies and passion was spreading the good word of Jehovah God. She also adored capturing life moments through photos. Three phrases that sum up Aida's life are "Faithful Woman", "The Best", and "The Foundation of our Lives". The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from noon until 3:00pm at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas. The funeral service will be held at 5:00pm at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall 3733 18th Street Plano, Texas 75074. Phone 972-422-7012. Flowers will be received at Allen Family Funeral Options until 5:00pm on Friday September 25, 2015 or from 10am until noon on Saturday morning.
