William (Bill) Edwards

July 14, 1949 — September 16, 2015

William Michael Edwards was known as a loving husband, a wonderful and giving father, and as the best grandpa one could have. He was known by his friends as a genuine person who was always willing to help, and to his business associates as an honorable man who handled himself with class.

Bill was affable and always knew the right things to say to encourage others. He was young at heart and was loved by everyone in our family for his creativity and humor. Many of his friends and family were given catchy nicknames that endured over time, and he loved to imitate cartoon characters, make funny voices, and make us laugh with his silly facial expressions. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and creating new family traditions, such as yearly Halloween pumpkin carving nights and family trips to Colorado. Bill was known for his ingenuity and being a "Fix-it" guy for anyone in need. As a successful and driven businessman, he was a mentor and inspiration to many employees that worked with him during his career.

He began working for the Tom Thumb Grocery Store chain in 1965, while he was still in high school, ultimately becoming a store Manager and a Merchandiser/Buyer. In 1990, Bill began his successful manufacturer's representatives firm, Resource Sales Group, which he owned and operated until his death. Bill is survived by his wife, Judy, four children, Michael, Christopher, Jason and Amy, and five grandchildren.

Bill was a gentle soul with a huge heart and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. He will be remembered as a man loved by many for his compassion, generosity and ability to make you smile, even if you didn't want to. He lived a fulfilled and happy life, enriched the hearts and lives of many and will live forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace until we meet again.
