Pat Bates

Elvira (Pat) L Bates was born July 16, 1927 in Arcadia, Louisiana and she passed away September 13, 2015 in Plano, Texas. She married Mac on June 27, 1950 and they remained married for 37 ½ years when he passed away. Pat worked for Texas Instruments for 30 years and also worked as a care giver for 30 years. She loved her family and friends and will be missed but remembered for all the love she gave. Pat is survived by her children Mark Bates and his wife Cindy, Lee Ronnie Veal and his wife LaTrisha, Darlene Stephens and her husband Harvey, grandchildren Brad Bates, Jeff Middleton, John Stephens, great-grandchildren Ronnie Veal, Jr., Jose Isalas, Lawrence and Chris Veracruz, Luke, Loran and Levi Middleton, Cason, Aimrey and Shelby Ducharme, niece Debbie Helmstetter and her husband Joe. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Mary McGuire. The family will receive friends for a visitation Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 6-9:00 PM at Allen Family Funeral Options. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
