Katharine Taylor

Mary Frances (Katharine) Taylor, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 5, 2015 with her daughters at her side. She was a loving and proud mother to Sharon Rybak Portugal, Susan Rybak Bunting, Elizabeth Rybak Mitchell and Maggy Rybak Cruz. Katharine was the proud grandmother of Rachel and Ian Bunting and Julia, Cameron, Nico and Alex Cruz.

Katharine was a fearless adventurer, entrepreneur, and leader. She was born in Tarrytown, New York and raised her daughters in Guatemala City where she created, managed and co-owned The Colegio Gibbs. She was a woman before her time in many ways and set an example of hard work, dedication and relentless focus.

After moving back to the United States, Katharine enjoyed a successful career as a Recruiter in Dallas.

Katharine was honored by her family at a Memorial Dinner in Dallas. She will be forever missed. May she rest in absolute peace.
