James Charles Bormann passed from this world on August 28, 2015. He was born on January 29, 1953. James was the second of five children born to Vern and Zita (Fandel) Bormann in Whittemore, Iowa. James graduated from Garrigan High School in 1971 in Algona, Iowa. He married Bonnie Bailey on November 22, 1975 in Dallas, Texas. Jim had a successful career in the construction business. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. Jim was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. "May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand." James is survived by his sons Lee Bormann, Craig Bormann and his fiancé Amanda Dickson, his father in law, John T. Bailey, Sr., and four sisters, Rebecca Lancaster of Whittemore, Iowa, Kathleen Schnieder and her husband Tim of Whittemore, Iowa, Julie Block and her husband Rex of Williams, Minnesota, Mary Allen and her husband Jim of Rosemount, Minnesota and foster sister Carol Besch and her husband Bob of Frisco, Texas, his brother in law John Bailey Jr. and his wife Jan and his brother in law Ed Bailey and his wife Joan. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Bormann, his parents Vern and Zita Bormann, mother in law Madeline Bailey and his brother in law Bob Lancaster. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75023 with The Reverend Bruce Bradley as Celebrant . There will be a reception immediately following the service at the church.
