Geraldine "Geri" Lary Emery was blessed to be the daughter of Coryell County Texas couple Buford B Lary and Annette Morgan Lary on January 21, 1932. She is survived by her brother Derald Lary (recently deceased wife Mary Hoffer Lary) of McAllen, Texas. Also she is survived by Dorothy Qualls Lary of Arlington, Texas, wife of deceased brother Garland Lary. In June 1954 she married her soul mate E.E. "Gene" Emery. They are blessed with a son Alan Emery and his wife JoLynn Hampton Emery of North Richland Hills, Texas and their son Andrew of Ft. Worth, Texas, also their loving daughter Karen Emery and granddaughter Jennifer Carroll of Plano, Texas. Geri was educated to be an elementary teacher with a Bachelor from Baylor and Master Degree from Southern Nazarene. It was her privilege to be a full time parent during the children's preschool years. Subsequently she became God's servant and every child's friend. In the Oklahoma City area she served as Minister of Childhood Education for 18 years at Putnam City Baptist Church and at Meadowood Baptist Church for 16 years. She was a gifted hostess treating family, friends and coworkers to delicious home cooked meals beautifully served. She also hosted parties for numerous holidays and special occasions providing elegant décor in warm and inviting surroundings. In retirement her creative energies have focused on sewing children's costumes to be used with children's language level dramatic scripts of Bible events she wrote. She completed her mortality on August 26, 2015 and relying on Christ as Lord is now in the eternal presence of her Creator. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
