Dorthy Kirk

August 14, 1953 — August 10, 2015

Dorthy Ann Kirk was born on August 14, 1953 in Odessa, Texas to parents Grover and Julia Kirk. She unexpectedly passed away August 10, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Dorthy retired from Southwestern Bell after 30 years of service. She was a devoted and loving sister and aunt. Some of the many characteristics she had were an outgoing personality, never met a stranger, wonderful sense of humor and a care giver to many. Dorthy enjoyed volunteering, fishing and doing yard work. She loved Little League baseball and looked forward to the Little League World Series each year. She also was a big Texas Rangers fan. Dorthy cherished her Colorado trips with her only nephew Donald. She provided love and care for many dogs through the years and was most passionate about her "Sweetie". Dorthy conquered many illnesses with never a complaint. She was a ten year breast cancer survivor. Dorthy is survived by her sister Betty McCulloch and her husband Don of Odessa, Texas, sister Bertha Brady of Plano, Texas and loving nephew Donald McCulloch of Gardendale, Texas and special friend Donna Bright of Frisco as well as many other loving friends. She was preceded in death by her daddy Grover Kirk, mother Julia Anglin, Uncle Mink, Aunt Mary and her beloved "Sweetie". Dorthy will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Dorthy's family is honoring her wish to be cremated and to have no formal service. They invite you to celebrate and remember her in your own special, loving way. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Dorthy's name to Susan G. Komen Foundation, PO Box 650309, Dallas, Texas 75265, www.komen.org or 1-877-GOKOMEN
