Andrew (Drew) Yau

Andrew (Drew) Todd Yau was born February 22, 1966 in Evanston, Illinois to parents Stephen and Victoria Yau. He died suddenly on July 27, 2015 in an automobile accident in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from the local schools in Evanston and then graduated from Northwestern University. He later moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he lived for 20 years and where he was a long time account executive with Xpedx. In 2014, he relocated to the Dallas area to be with his daughter, who was the light of his life, gave him purpose and is his greatest legacy. Where ever he went, Andrew (known to his friends as Drew or Smooth Drew when he was a DJ) made friends easily, always smiling and happy to facilitate a gathering. He will be missed by all who knew him. Drew is survived by his daughter Ashley, father Dr. Stephen Yau, mother Victoria Yau, younger brother Philip and many loving family members and friends. A private memorial service honoring the life of Andrew Yau will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015. Family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM, Friday, August, 7, 2015 at Allen Family Funeral Options.
