Jeff Wilhelm

July 16, 1966 — July 13, 2015

Jeffrey George Wilhelm was born on July 16, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri to Jack and Marlene Albers Wilhelm. He lived his entire childhood in St. Louis graduating from DeSmet High School. He attended the University of Oklahoma and transferred to the University of Missouri, Columbia where he graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He was already showing entrepreneurial acuity in high school by having his own lawn mowing business with 26 customers and later developing two multi-million dollar computer consulting companies. He recently resigned as President/CEO from Fusion Consulting, a company of which he was co-founder and co-owner.
Jeff was gifted not only in business but was a phenomenal athlete. Whatever sport he chose, he excelled. Judo, cross country, tennis and wrestling were some of his high school favorites. He ran track in college and as an adult he played basketball and was an avid mountain bike rider. He also loved playing 2-man competitive volleyball. Additionally, Jeff spent several years refereeing for the Coppell YMCA.
Jeff was an animal lover his whole life. As a young boy, Jeff would sit in the backyard and read to his pet turtle. As an adult he had several exotic animals (iguanas, snakes and fish) and he loved his Jack Russell Terrier. Jeff also enjoyed music. Some of his favorite artists are Kid Rock, Marvin Gaye and Peter Gabriel.
Jeff had a huge heart. Anyone who knew Jeff knew that he would do anything in his power to help them in a time of need. He loved his family dearly and was so very proud of his children. Rachel earned a tennis scholarship to college and an academic scholarship to law school. His son, Taylor graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree of science kinesiology in May of 2014. Jeff paid for Taylor's undergraduate degree. He understood the value of a higher level degree and was proud to do this for Taylor. Taylor currently works full time as a physical therapy assistant while he is applying to get his doctorate of physical therapy hopefully beginning in July/August 2016. Jeff's younger children, Jackson, Lucy, Lillian and Lola were his current pride and joy and brought him a lot of happiness.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Valerie who he called "his treasure", and their 4 children, Jackson Autry, age 12, "his bird", who loved playing soccer in the yard with Jeff, Lucy Ann, age 10, "his toot", whose singing, dancing and award winning pageant titles Jeff was so proud of, Lillian Marlene, age 8 "lil bug", the sweet little peace maker with a sweet smile and big heart and Lola Jane, age 4, "Lola bear", his little buddy who loved to play in the creek with the snakes and enjoyed all outdoors with Jeff, his 2 children Rachel and Taylor, from his prior marriage to Helen Wilhelm and Jeff's grandson, Brody. Also surviving are his parents, Jack and Marlene Wilhelm and his 3 siblings; Mike and his wife Kelly and their 4 children David, Macy, Jake and Alex, his brother Steve and sister Amy. He also leaves an aunt and uncle, Jane and Joe Stephans as well as numerous friends and colleagues who also loved him dearly.
