David Frank Hull was born December 10, 1956, at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, to Bobby F. Hull and Nellie Thompson Hull. He graduated high school at Del City, Oklahoma and earned an Associates Degree in Business from Oscar Rose Junior College, Midwest City, Oklahoma. He passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at The Medical Center of Plano in Plano, Texas.
At the age of 15, David had a malignant brain tumor which left him limited in many ways. He has been legally blind since the surgery, but has coped beyond expectations. He was employed six years at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, worked seven years for Continental Emsco Company in Garland, four years for Nations Bank downtown Dallas and one year for Countrywide Loans in Plano.
David rode the Dart bus from home to downtown Dallas those four years and loved exploring the tunnels under Dallas during his lunch hours, which attested to his independence and determination. He became unable to work in 2000.
David's favorite hobby was playing "42" with church friends. He also enjoyed computer games, listening to music and attending gospel music concerts.
He gave his heart to Christ and was baptized at age 7, and was a long-time member of the Singles Department at First Baptist.
David is survived by his parents, Bobby and Nell, a sister Kim Priess and her husband Steve of Allen, and a brother Bryan Hull and his wife Lisa of Carrollton, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2015 and funeral service will begin at 1:00 at First Baptist Church of Plano, 1300 E 15th St., Plano, Texas.
