Duane Springfield

Duane Lee Springfield, beloved husband, father, son-in-law, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 in Allen, Texas. Duane was born on September 27, 1962 to Viola and James Springfield, Jr., both of whom have preceded him in death. He was born in Amarillo, Texas and raised in Stratford, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a BA in Parks and Recreation Management. While at Tech, he met the love of his life, Nancy Lewis. They were married on March 7, 1987. To this union were born Travis Bennett Springfield and Ashtin Leigh Springfield, both whom Duane loved deeply. Duane had a heart of gold, loved doing things for others and never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his love of his family, his friends, his Red Raiders and the Allen Eagles. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. A celebration of Duane's life will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:30 am in the sanctuary at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023 with Reverend Kory Knott, Duane's nephew, officiating.
