Georgene May Prusha was born on February 12, 1949 in O'Neill, Nebraska to parents George William Oetter and Marion May Miller Oetter. She passed from this life on June 22, 2015 in Plano, Texas. Georgene grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and was HAPPILY MARRIED!! for 44 years. Her rewarding life took her from Omaha to Denver and finally to Plano, Texas - where she and Rich lived and raised their family for 31 years. Through the years, "GG", assumed many roles from loving wife to devoted mom, to most recently remarkable grandmother (just don't call her grandma, it's GG). Above all, she had a way of being a Best Friend to everyone - family, friends, stangers. GG always busied herself with a seemingly unending array of meaning activities, including working at the Plano YMCA, volunterring at the Medical Center of Plano and running the comic book section at Big Bob's, the family owned collectibles store. GG's true passion, however, was traveling the country in search of the perfect antiques to offer at her booths in McKinney and Canton. She loved talking as much as she loved smiling and both were always on display at her booth during memorable (and they all seemed to be memorable) conversations with friends, customers, children and even pets. At GG's, it was all about the conversation and the story, not the sale. We know what GG meant to us. We want to know what she meant to you. Please share with us your special story about how GG was your best friend! Georgene is survived by her loving husband Richard Prusha, children Scott Prusha and his wife Amy and Christine Mahuna and her husband Lance, grandchildren Adyson and Rylee Prusha, parents George and Marion Oetter, sisters Sheila Jensen and her husband Steve and Mary Oetter. Also surviving are many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Karen Oetter. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6-8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Dr., Plano, Texas 75075.The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 1, 2015 also at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. A reception will follow in The Great Hall in the Parrish Center, 1105 W 15th St., Plano, Texas 75075. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Second Chance SPCA, we all know how much GG loved her animals. www.secondchancespca.org
