Gary was a graduate from J.J. Pearce High School in 1979, followed by college at Stephen F. Austin University where he pledged Phi Delta Theta. After coming home from school, he was a key contributor to the family business, Richardson Appliance where he helped manage from 1971-1993. He then took over the family business to make it his own, Appliance Concepts, which he fully owned and operated until his death. You could always count on him to be your handy man, because he was truly a jack of all trades. Gary Wayne had a love for hunting and the outdoors, in fact he often enjoyed preparing a good meal from what he hunted for his family and friends to enjoy. He never missed a chance to ski, shoot guns, or be out on the lake. He also loved the Rolling Stones and the Dallas Cowboys, which he would blare throughout his house on any given day. Above all else, Gary had a mighty faith in our Lord Jesus. He spread the Word quite frequently to others and was a Stephen Minister at his church. Gary would go out of his way to always help others in need, no matter what day or time. You could always count on him. Without a doubt he touched many lives and was loved by many. He will always be in our hearts, may he rest in peace. He is survived by daughters Cameron Luna and her fiancé Clif Russell and Taylor Wright, mother Peggy Luna, brothers Larry Luna and his wife Amy and Tarry Luna and his wife Tracy, half-brother James Patterson, niece and nephews Ava, Ryan and Hayden Luna and Justice and Jacob Craven. He was preceded in death by his father Jim Luna. A memorial service to celebrate Gary's life will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Custer Road United Methodist Church Chapel, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023.
