Kristopher Peters, known to many as "Kong," died on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the young age of 40. He was born November 14, 1974 to Garland "Chief" Peters and Kathy Peters. Kristopher graduated from Arlington Lamar High School and went on to play football for Tyler Junior College. Kristopher was the owner of Origin Sign Company, where he provided artwork, murals, and signage to numerous business throughout the DFW area. Kristopher was an artist, a visionary, a poet, a mentor, an expert martial artist, a constant student of life, a musician, and a true original. His large stature and deep booming voice earned him the nickname Kong, but those who knew him knew he was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He lit up a room just by walking in and his thunderous laughter made everyone smile.
Kristopher is preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Peters, and his sister, Krissy Peters. He is survived by his father and best friend, Garland "Chief" Peters and his girlfriend Karla Morris.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Rd., Plano, Texas 75023 with Pastor Ed Fleming officiating.
