Brendan Cavanaugh

Brendan R Cavanaugh was born on September 10, 1980 in Nyack, New York to Robert and Teresa Cavanaugh. Brendan graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1999 and attended Texas Tech University. Brendan enjoyed sports, including skiing, soccer, basketball and baseball. As a Christian, he was a member of the Chase Oaks Church youth group and attended retreats in Colorado. Brendan's favorite Bible verse was Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous; don't be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Brendan loved his family dearly and always had a warm sweet smile and compassionate heart. Brendan is survived by his parents and three sisters, Erin, Tara and Kelleen, his maternal grandfather Richard W Bates and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Robert and Esther Cavanaugh and maternal grandmother Ann Bates. A memorial celebration of Brendan's life will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Chase Oaks Church, 201 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas 75023. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Brendan's name to My Possibilities, 1631 Dorchester Dr., Plano, Texas 75075, where Brendan's sister Kelleen is a student. Brendan's family will be donating a room to My Possibilities to honor his life.
