Florene K Price

Florene was born on November 30, 1926 in Duncan, Oklahoma to parents Fred L. Koeninger and Fannie Florence Merritt Koeninger. Florene's life on this earth was rich with blessings because of her choice to serve a living God, who is faithful even when we are faithless. As the Alzheimer's progressed, she maintained her sweet spirit, allowing the light of Christ to shine through. She always let His love overcome the difficult, frustrating and sometimes embarrassing moments in her daily walk. Florene knew where her strength came from, not only because she lived it but because it was deep in her soul. She was a dedicated wife, supportive mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Florene and her husband Jerry continued the spiritual legacy of those who went before them. She leaves us with an amazing legacy of how to live life to the fullest! Through Christ, we CAN do all things! His ways are higher than ours. She would always tell us to "Choose life, choose Jesus!"


Florene was taken home to be with her Lord and Saviour on April 10, 2015 in Allen, Texas. She is survived by her daughter in law Patty Price of Vidor, Texas, sons Geoffrey Price and his wife Judy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bradley Price of Dallas, Texas, and Wade Price and his wife Dorothy of Plano, Texas, grandchildren Kimberly Riley and her husband Matt, Jon Price and his wife Tina, Jerry L. Price,II, Joseph Price, David Price, Shanna Price, Jason Price, Grace Koehler and her husband Michael, Joshua Price and his wife Courtney, Candice Kelm and her husband Brent, Spencer Price and his wife Haley, Anna Claire Price and Samuel Price, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving is one brother Wade Koeninger and his wife Mary Louise. Florene was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Loyd Price, her son Judson L. Price and sister Mary Jo Koeninger Clason. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Christian Chapel Assembly of God Church, 1100 E. Frontier Pkwy., Prosper, Texas 75078 with Pastor Jim Lugar officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Galveston Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas. A reception will follow the interment at First Christian Church in Texas City. The family requests instead of flowers, donations be made in Florene's name to Life Journey Church, PO Box 5407, Frisco, Texas 75035.
