Shirley Johnson gave. On December 13th 1946, in Nashville Tennessee, she gave her parents their youngest daughter. She gave her brother and sisters a playmate and someone to babysit. She went on to give St. Cecilia Academy one heck of a basketball player, graduating in 1964. She gave her fandom and support to the University of Tennessee Volunteers, but gave her tuition to Middle Tennessee State. There she met Bob Johnson, who on February 3rd, 1968 she gave her hand in marriage. She proceeded to give him everything he could ever hope for in a wife and then some. This included giving birth to her 3 boys, Stan, Scott and David, who she gave affection, guidance and time. Time is something Shirley gave to her sons, whether it was as a Cub Scout den mother, basketball coach or helping with homework, all while providing a loving and happy home. She gave her knowledge and hard work to Plano Sports Authority's basketball program, helping it grow to one of the largest and best in the state of Texas. Through all her hard work she still found time to give love, hugs and kisses to her grandson, Tristan. In the end, she gave her life to a brain aneurysm, but not before giving thanks to God, love to her friends and family, and joy to everyone who ever met her. Shirley Johnson never asked for anything, she just gave. She is survived by her husband Bob Johnson , sons Stan Johnson and wife Jerie, Scott Johnson and wife Katie and David Johnson, grandchild Tristan Johnson, siblings Jimmy Kelly and wife Ruth, Don Hunt, Linda Myatt, Peggy Hiller and husband Danny. The family will receive friends at a visitation at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75023.
