Ankitha Vemu

April 16, 1995 — February 27, 2015

Beloved daughter, sister, niece, and grandchild, Ankitha Vemu went to be with the Lord February 27, 2015 at the age of 19. Born April 16, 1995, in Guntur, India, Ankitha is the first born of Sudhir and Shanti Vemu, and older sister of Rahul Vemu. Ankitha is the first granddaughter of her grandparents, beloved niece to her aunts and uncles, and a loving big sister to her cousins. Ankitha graduated from Plano Senior High School in 2013, and completed her first year in software engineering at UTD.
Ankitha had a child-like faith and innocence. She loved her brother Rahul and imparted her faith and love for God in him. She put her trust in Christ and pointed everyone to Jesus not just by her words, but by every aspect of her life.
Ankitha was most passionate about her faith. She loved Jesus more than everything in the world. Her calling was to work with kids and serve in the children's ministry. All her students loved her and Ankitha loved to work with the children from her church. She lived out her faith and can confidently say that, throughout her life, she continually kept her faith and finished the race. She followed the example of Christ, "pressing on to perfection".
She always saw the best in every situation and the best in everyone, encouraging others at every opportunity. Ankitha always had a beautiful, innocent smile on her face and never complained about anything in life. She always chose the path that she knew was right instead of going with the crowd, even if it meant she was the only one taking the "unpopular" route. She always stood strong in her faith and lived a selfless life. For Ankitha, "to live is Christ, and to die is gain".
Ankitha enjoyed Indian and Italian cuisine. Her favorite hobbies included cooking, travelling, and music. Ankitha's favorite place to travel was India to be with her grandparents and family. She also loved to travel to New Jersey to be with her aunt, uncle, and cousins, and to Jamaica to be with her uncle's family. Most of all, Ankitha loved God and always looked for opportunities to serve him.
Ankitha is her dad's little princess, her mom's best friend, and her brother's role model. Ankitha is their strength, inspiration, and light to her family and she continues to be with them by being their little guardian angel who will be watching over them from heaven with her best friend Jesus.
The family will greet friends at a visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Lifepoint Church, 4501 Hedgcoxe Rd., Plano, Texas 75024. Funeral services will begin immediately following the visitation at 10:00 AM at the church. Ankitha will be laid to rest at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that dayand not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." -2 Timothy 4:7-8
