Mary Marguerite Walsh ("Marguerite") passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Plano, Texas. A resident of Frisco, Texas, Marguerite was born May 24, 1932 in Charlestown, Rhode Island. She was a daughter of the late James A. and Florence K. (Aylward) Walsh. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers James W., Jonathan L. and Michael E. Walsh, and her sisters Catherine A. Palombo, Eileen R. (Clarke) Stephenson, and Sheila M. Creek. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Thomas F. and Nancy P. Walsh of Cranston, Rhode Island and her sister and brother-in-law Genevieve W. and Timothy J. McCreary of Plano, Texas, as well as many fond nieces and nephews and dear friends. A graduate of St. Francis Xavier Academy in Providence, Marguerite moved from Rhode Island to California as a young adult establishing a career in accounting and administration leading eventually to positions in New York and Texas and a return to California at the executive level. She was indefatigable in her work ethic and a caring leader and mentor to those on her team. Marguerite was a lover of archaeology, walks on the beach, the fine arts, and kitty cats. She will be missed by all who knew her generosity of time, wise counsel and affection. There will never be anyone else like Marguerite. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 1 p.m at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75023.
