Betty Eberle

Betty Eberle died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at her home in Plano, Texas. She was born Margaret Elizabeth Jackson on March 22, 1921 in Harvey North Dakota to John L. Jackson, Sr. and Margaret Specker Jackson. She was raised in Minneapolis and South St. Paul, and met her husband Bob at the University of Minnesota, where she received an M.S. in Medical Technology. Betty and Bob were married in South St. Paul on June 15, 1944 and began their married life in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where Bob worked at Chance Vought Aircraft. They moved to Texas with Vought in 1948 and lived in Dallas until 2009. Betty was an avid duplicate bridge player and a wonderful cook who weekly fixed Sunday dinner for the entire family. She loved to travel, both in the RV throughout the country and around the world. Betty and Bob were founding members of St. Monica Parish and she served on the Ursuline Board of Directors. Betty is survived by her husband of 71 years, Robert B. Eberle, and daughters Julie Eberle of Dallas, Dr. Mary Eberle of Lubbock, and son John Eberle and his wife Stephanie, of Plano, her brother John L. Jackson and his wife Joan, of Wheaton Illinois, and sisters-in-law Dolores Arroyo of Reno, Nevada and Louise Eberle of Tyler, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren Alexander Popp of Lubbock, Austin Eberle of Houston, and Erin Eberle of Plano, Texas. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday, March 6, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023. A reception will follow the service at the church. Betty will be laid to rest at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
