Berle K Hufford Jr

July 20, 1938 — December 16, 2014

Retired USAF LT. Colonel Berle K. "Bud" Hufford, Jr. passed away at the age of 76 early Tuesday morning at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano.
Mr. Hufford is preceded in death by his parents, Retired US Army Lt. Colonel Berle K. Hufford and Harriet D. Hufford. He is survived by his wife of 52 ½ years (he always said "at my age the ½ counts!"), Anne K. Hufford, 3 children: Mari E. "Beth" Hufford, Amy Hufford Watterud, and Berle K. "Kip" Hufford, III; three grandchildren, Andrew D. Watterud, Kathryn M. "Kate" Watterud, Christopher G. Watterud; two step-grandchildren: Caitlin R. Rubino and Ally E. Golstein. He is also survived by his sisters Harriet M. Hufford Cristina C. Hufford-Wild and brother Jon R. Hufford. He would be upset if we forgot to mention his two grand-puppies Rusty and Wedgy.
"Bud" was born July 20, 1938 in New Haven, Connecticut. Growing up in a military family they were never stationed in one place for too long. He lived both domestically and internationally. Upon graduating college he joined the USAF and completed his 20 year commitment in 1983. He then joined the private sector and worked for another 16 years before retirement where he took on the full time job of annoying his wife. He would always introduce them as "Bud and Weiser".
His favorite past times were enjoying his family, "dinking" in the backyard pool, and watching black and white movies on his HD color T.V. He loved to meet new people and share his stories to anyone who would listen.
It goes without saying, he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all the people whose lives he touched from the pharmacist at Kroger, the nurses at his doctor's office, the staff at Hirch's Meats or the boys at Plano Barbers.
