Jerry L Russell

Jerry L Russell, age 66, passed away at home in Plano, Texas on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from his courageous, long battle with cancer. Through it all, Jerry never gave up the fight and continued to build a strong and trusting relationship with Jesus Christ.
Jerry was born in Burleson, Texas on July 10, 1948 to parents Eugene L Russell and Alice Norine Dunn Russell. He attended public school in Ft. Worth, Texas where he started at Bonnie Brae Elementary, Riverside Junior High and graduated from Amon Carter Riverside High School in 1966. Jerry truly loved sports, especially baseball and golf.
Jerry had a successful career as an electrical contractor. Jerry had the privilege of working on jobs such as; JC Penny Corporate Office, Bass Hall in Ft. Worth, Harrah's Casino in New Orleans, Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, AT&T in Austin, Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Springs.
Jerry was fortunate enough to travel for business and leisure. He was able to see a huge part of the world such as; Israel, France, Mexico and Hawaii. He had many hobbies such as; golf, baseball, hunting, fishing, darts and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. His most treasured moments were spending quality time with his wife, kids, grandkids and dear friends. Jerry was a very spiritual, giving, kind and loving man.
Jerry is survived by his wife Donna Sue Russell, 3 children, 1 step-child, 6 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren; daughter Rachelle and her husband Ken, granddaughters Jill and Audrey, daughter Traci and granddaughters Paige and Olivia, son Marc and his wife Staci and grandsons Clayton and Jaxton, step-daughter Jenifer and husband David, grandchildren Emilee and Tyler and his furry 4 legged son, Sammy. He is also, survived by his sister Joyce Bramlett of Ft. Worth, Texas, nephew's Jamie and Marty and niece Debbie. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law James Bramlett. A memorial service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Christ United Methodist Church, 3101 Coit Rd., Plano, Texas 75075.
