Anna Sue Davies was #12 of 13 children. She grew up in Pampa, Texas and accepted Christ as a youth and was in the choir at Central Baptist Church and often sang solos. Anna Sue met her husband, William "Wild Bill" Davies at a South Lawn Baptist Church fellowship. "Wild Bill" pursued Anna Sue much like Elmer Fudd pursued Bugs Bunny. While on a date at a basketball game, Bill mentioned that he had an important question to ask her later. The question he asked was, "Do you think Elmer Fudd will ever catch Bugs Bunny?" Later that evening, Anna Sue accepted Bill's unusual proposal and they were married August 15, 1954 and just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August. They have three children David Andrew, Damon Mark, and Danna Elizabeth and three grandchildren Andrea Lauren, Dawson Harris, and Dane William. She worked for the Brazosport Independent School District in the Administration Office for 34 years. Anna Sue loved her husband of 60 years, children and grandchildren and up to her final days thanked Jesus for all of her blessings. Anna Sue went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2014.
