J Michael Adams

J. Michael Adams was born on May 7, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Jerry Dwayne Adams and Marilyn Wood Adams. He passed from this life unexpectedly on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the age of 53. His wife Pamela shares the following as her tribute to her loving husband -

"J. Michael Adams came into my life 25 years ago; well let's just call it what it was - destiny and fate6'3" , hunky with lots of brown hair, blue eyes that "twinkled", yes-I said they "twinkled" and the most gorgeous blue eyes I had ever seen. Fate and destiny were waiting for us both that night at the On the Border Restaurant in Addison, Texas. It was a cold winter night in January of 1988. We were both at happy hour and Vanna White was on TV flipping cards to spell out Dungeons and Dragons as the clue- An empty barstool appeared next to me and kismet intervened - the love of my life walked into my universe
I married my best friend and confidant on November 4, 1989 and he gave me the adventure of a lifetime in 25 blessed years together. J. Michael loved life and life loved him back. He will be remembered for his big belly laughs, his contagious smile, his love of story-telling and entertaining people, but most of all he will be remembered for his generosity and loving spirit, his kindness to friends and family in need, spoiling his nieces and nephews and of course his two favorite "knuckleheads", Cooper and Marlowe (our dog children).
Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone. We find it with another. J. Michael was my destiny for which I will always be thankful for. God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.
Even though our chapter together now ends, our love story will remain forever as now we cherish and rejoice in the celebration and remembrance of my dear husband, J. Michael Adams. We are all so blessed to have had him in our lives. Destiny and fate; yes, I do believe it was meant to be for us together. "
Family members surviving include his wife Pamela Adams, "the knuckleheads" Cooper and Marlowe, brothers Mark Adams and Matthew Adams and his wife Michelle, nieces and nephews Kristin and Megan Adams, Blake, Brett and Brock Adams, Ty and Ryan Montague, Meagan Davis and her husband Robin and Morgan Anderson, mother in law Pat Anderson, sister in law Debbie Montague and her husband Bill, brother in law Mark Anderson and his wife Katrina as well as many loving friends. Preceding J. Michael in death was his mother Marilyn Adams.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at an Afternoon of Remembrance at Allen Family Funeral Options.
