Linda Rowden

December 26, 1939 — October 25, 2014

Linda G. Rowden of Plano, Texas was born on December 26, 1939 and peacefully passed from this life into eternity on Saturday, October 25, 2014 following a lengthy battle with melanoma.

Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Surviving are her son, Mitch Rowden and husband David Birdwell of Plano, Texas, daughters, Cyndi Rowden of Salina, Kansas and Gail Rowden of Plano, Texas, granddaughter, Crystal Rowden of Plano, Texas, brother, Leroy Ketchum of Hutchinson, Kansas and sister Dee Mundy of Sturgis, Kentucky.

Linda was Executive Vice President of Sales for AmeriPlan USA, joining the company in 1999. Prior to AmeriPlan, she spent many years as a finance and banking executive. Known by her title of Queen B, she will be remembered fondly for her love of laughter, strength of character, and her unconditional love of her family. She had a sense of humor so wry, quick and off-kilter that the average person could never believe that under Linda's professional and always sharp image lurked a true rebel. She had a loving nature, deep faith and unending capacity for kindness and compassion.

A memorial service will be held at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas, Texas 75220 on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm.

Donations can be made to Melanoma Research Alliance, http://mra.kintera.org/support/lindarowden
