Claire Vrana

Claire Marie Vrana was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 16, 1955. Claire was the youngest and only girl of four children to Joseph and Doris Victor. Claire and Al Vrana were married on August 23, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois. They celebrated 39 wonderful years of marriage just one month ago. Surrounded by friends and family, Claire passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014, in Plano, Texas. Claire is survived by her husband Al, children Carissa Vrana, Alyson Vrana Blatney and her husband Adam, brothers Al Victor and his wife Nancy, Jerry Victor and his wife Cynthia, Gregory Victor and his wife Cathy and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Although her passing was sudden and her life ended long before expected, Claire's vibrant spirit will endure through those she touched in her life. Claire worked in the finance industry for over 20 years and worked as a mortgage loan officer for the past 15 years. Claire loved spending time with her dogs, family, and friends. She loved taking walks with Al and her four dogs or having dinner with friends. Claire will be remembered for her big heart, which was exhibited by her volunteerism. Claire served as a dedicated volunteer for over 10 years for Straydog Organization, a Dallas-based dog rescue. Claire's life will be celebrated at a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to Straydog Organization at www.Straydog.org. Claire was a loving and giving person and those who knew her were blessed to have been part of her life. As an organ donor, Claire continues to touch the lives of others. Al, Carissa, and Alyson would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and support of their friends and family. They also welcome the sharing of stories and thoughts about Claire.
