Rosa Belle Golden

Rosa Belle was born the 7th of 9 children to John and Betty Trapp of Paris, Texas on May 14, 1928. She started at an early age working in various fields ranging from the cotton fields, to a bank, to working at the picture show. As an adult here in Richardson, she worked for DK Jones Construction Company and part time at Wally Williams, a local dress shop. She retired after working for many years at Southwest Legal Foundation. However, she found her life of retirement too boring, so she decided to go back to work, finishing her time in the workforce as a parking lot attendant at Richardson High School up until the time of a car accident.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, all eight siblings and her beloved husband Jay; better known as Chief. She is survived by her children David Golden and wife Karen, Patty Patterson and husband Keith, grandchildren Denise Nix and husband Matt, Christina Taylor and husband Brandon, Timmy Patterson and TJ Mundell, Kevin Golden, great grandchildren Addison Taylor, Ava and Ben Nix, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Allen Family Funeral Options. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Richardson, 1001 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas 75080 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Gerald Ware officiating. Interment at Restland Memorial Park, 1305 Greenville Avenue, Richardson, Texas 75243 immediately following the service.
