Irene Moeller

Irene Moeller, cherished wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother (GiGi) and friend passed away on Labor Day 2014 at the age of 90. She was born July 8, 1924 in Beeville, Texas to Gusta and Mattie Mattingly. She was one of eight brothers and sisters. She married her soul mate, Alvin Moeller on November 18, 1944, having known him only 2 months before he was shipped out to Oxnard, California during World War II. They enjoyed 50 years of happily married life together prior to his death. Irene is survived by her daughter Beverly Allen and her husband Steve of Allen, Texas and son Henry Moeller of Corpus Christi, Texas. Also surviving are grandchildren Vince Allen and his wife Kris, Tracy Allen, Arron Moeller and his wife Teresa, Jennifer Andricks and her husband Scott, Jessica Moeller, great grandchildren Katie, Chloe and Mason Allen, Cade and Ellie Moeller, Griffin and Austin Andricks, one brother Tommy Mattingly and his wife Pat and so many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Allen, 601 S. Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. following the visitation. Irene will be laid to rest at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at Beeville Memorial Park in Beeville, Texas. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Irene's name to Camp Greenhill, Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas, 2410 Bevecrest , Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
