Robt F (Bob) Housley

April 10, 1938 — August 28, 2014

Bob was born and raised in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, where he graduated from Hot Springs High School. He received a full scholarship in music to Arkansas Tech University. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music. He also received a fellowship for graduate work and earned a Teaching Credential. In addition, he also worked as a band director.

Bob joined the United States Air Force where he played first chair trumpet in the Air Force Band. He was recognized as a world class musician, playing in many major symphonies, and requested to play "Taps" at one of the Kennedy Memorials.

Beginning in 1966, Bob began a career in sales to serve the Dallas area with paper and envelope supplies. In this position, he was able to build friendships that would last a lifetime. Bob was a loving Father and will be so deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Brian Housley, his daughter Brittany Housley, his brother John Housley and Sister-in-law, Linda Housley and also by nephews Andy and Robert Housley of Los Gatos, California.

Bob will be laid to rest following a graveside service on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
