Jack Oran Harless Jr

March 1, 1946 — July 28, 2014

Jack is survived by his daughter Rebecca Smith, son Terry Harless, grandson Peyton, granddaughter Jessica, sister Kay Boyer, brother-in-law Harold Boyer, sister-in-law Mae Harless, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Jan McCown Harless, father O.J. Harless, mother Martha Longshore Harless, brothers H.L. Harless and Don E Harless.

Jack graduated from Sherman High School and went on to attend Tarrelton State University in Stephenville, Texas.
He worked most of his life in Crash Rescue Equipment Services, after retirement he worked at Gardner Denver, Re-drill Hughes Tool, Hale Trailer and as if that wasn't enough he also taught at a technical school in McKinney.

Jack loved life, family, friends, fishing, and telling tall tales. He was appreciative of good food and enjoyed cooking. His greatest pleasure in life was playing practical jokes.

An evening of remembrance will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Allen Family Funeral Options. Pastor Robert Matthews will preside over the "words of remembrance" at 6:00 PM.
