Maura Bacani

Maura Bacani was born to Vicente Bacani and Tomasa Sarmiento on January 22, 1922 in San Carlos City, Pangasinan in the Philippines. She was the youngest, and only girl, of four children. On June 8, 1952, she married her longtime sweetheart, Isidro Bacani in her hometown. Together, they had three children: Lorna, Juanchito, and Larry. As a 3rd-grade English teacher, Maura was a staunch believer in the value of a good education. She especially loved to read; everything, from novels to newspaper articles, filled her bookshelf. In addition, she loved going shopping with her daughter and daughter-in-law. Maura leaves behind two living children, Lorna and Juanchito; eight grandchildren, Michael, Francis, Randall, Chelson, Jim, Charles, A.J., and John; three great-grandchildren; and countless loving relatives around the world.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Allen Family Funeral Options, 2120 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023. A vigil will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023. A Mass of the Resurrection, presided by Father Bruce Bradley will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
