J Keith Mcgregor

July 22, 1931 — July 2, 2014

J. Keith McGregor was born on July 22, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to the late Arthur and Mildred McGregor. He had three brothers: Pardoe, Bruce and Douglas. He attended Brigham Young University and Sanford University and earned his law degree. He served his country in the Army between the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Keith met Karen Cloward in 1964. They were married in the Hawaiian Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The couple made their home in La Canada, California. They raised six wonderful children: Kurt, Kevin, Kent, Kristin, Kyle and Kraig. After retiring from his law practice, Keith and Karen moved to Plano, Texas, where they have resided for ten years.
Keith was a loving, caring man and a devoted husband and father. Because he had been a gymnast and musician, he encouraged his children to pursue their interests in sports, drama and music. He was always there, with his camera, to capture their many special events. Besides photography, his other interests included rock collecting, landscaping, and home improvement. The family was always involved in Keith's projects.
Scouting was an integral part of Keith's life. With his brothers, he participated in two International Boy Scout Jamborees. All four brothers achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. As a parent, he continued his love of scouting by serving as Cub Master and Scoutmaster. He encouraged his five sons along their path to Eagle Scout.
In his dedication to God, Keith served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to the British Isles from 1950 to 1952. He loved missionary work and always shared the Gospel with those he met. Through out his life, no matter what his calling in the Church, he served faithfully and diligently.
Keith loved our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. He loved his family and his fellow man. He loved his country. Because of his example and dedication to serving others, we have all been edified. He will be remembered and missed.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5095 Coit Rd., Frisco, Texas 75035. Keith will be laid to rest on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:30 am at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
