Stanley William Livingston was born on June 23, 1967 in Alexandria Virginia to Jimmy and Bernadette (Bernie) Livingston. He grew up with a rich Irish heritage through Bernie including numerous trips to Ireland. When he was in third grade, the family moved to Foster City, California where he attended elementary school, then went to Hillsdale High. Stan loved trying new things; he played the bass in a rock band in 8th grade. (According to Enoch, Stan was a rock star in high school.) Stan was an athlete and played varsity football in both high school and college. He went to San Mateo Community College and then to University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating with a degree in political science. These were wonderful years where he met lifelong friends. He was in the Sigma Nu Fraternity in college, where he was pledge class president. Stan was very athletic, even representing Sigma Nu at a national softball tournament as the first baseman on the winning team. After college he went on to work in the tech industry. He recently was enjoying a new job with RSA Security (network and computer security), and prior to this, he worked in sales and partner account management (17+ years) for Symantec Corporation.
Stan naturally developed a huge network of friends, had a talent for winning people over, and was adept at remembering faces, facts, people and their details.
Sheri and Stan met in 1999 at a golf tournament on Stan's first day in Texas. According to Stan "it took two years for his charm to kick in" before they started dating. They shared a love of fun, friends, laughter, golf, travel, and sales. They were married in Bernie and Jim's hometown, Las Vegas, Nevada in November 2004. They were blessed by the birth of Enoch and Corissa on March 12, 2006. They enjoyed wonderful travel earned by their Achievers trips and other travel as a family. In 2009, the family enjoyed a wonderful trip to Ireland to meet Stan's relatives. Stan was a fan of all sports, with a special fondness for the Washington Redskins and the San Francisco Giants. Stan enjoyed teaching his love of sports to his son and the value of friendship and love to his daughter. He enjoyed watching his children develop and recently had the pleasure of accompanying Corissa to the Y-Princess father-daughter dance.
Stan is preceded in death by his loving parents, Jimmy and Bernie Livingston, he is survived by his wife Sheri, and his children Enoch Lee and Corissa Alice, father-in-law Bruce Barton, mother-in-law Lorraine Barton, brother-in-law Eric Barton and his wife Noreen Rathslag, sister-in-law Sonja Barton Loar and her husband Steve, niece and nephew Peter and Anna Loar along with many loving relatives and friends.
