Terry Hoskins

Terry Kevin Brendan Hoskins, 57, of Allen, Texas, was welcomed into Heaven at 9:18 p.m. on May 6, 2014 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Terry was born in Berkeley, California on May 16,1956 to Larry and Joan (Andrews) Smith. He graduated from McHenry High School, in McHenry, Illinois. In 1976 at the age of 19, he enlisted in the Army, serving in Korea and served his country for 17 years. Terry attended Southern Illinois University. He worked at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois as a Food Service Supervisor for 20 years. On April 23, 2012 he was married to Shawn Marie Davis, his high school sweetheart living in Allen, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Shawn; his children, Steven Hoskins of Allen, Texas; Daniel Hoskins and his wife, Kirstyn and his beloved grandson Emmett Leigh of Newalla, Oklahoma; Anthony Incardona of Dallas, Texas; and Allana Incardona of Chicago, Illinois. Terry is also survived by his mother Joan Smith and her husband Paul of Carbondale, Illinois; brother Jeff and wife Yumiko, his nephew Ginga Hoskins of Tokyo, Japan; and brother Chris and wife Shuko of Tokyo, Japan; Brother-in-law Paul Leslie and wife Magie Davis of Charleston, South Carolina; and sister-in-law Lorrie Davis of South Bend, Indiana. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Larry. His hobbies included being an avid gun enthusiast, rebuilding Harley Davidson Motorcycles and cars, thinking he could play golf, listening to music and traveling. He and Shawn met and fell in love when they were 14 & 16 years old, they found each other again in 2009 knowing they had never stopped loving one another and were married April 23, 2012. Terry was welcomed into the Catholic Church on August 31, 2013 with a beautiful celebration including family, friends and CRHP brothers and sisters. Terry is a Third Degree Knight of Columbus as well and loved serving in any way he could to help others. Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 Greenville Ave. Allen, Texas. Funeral Mass begins at 1:00 p.m. on May 16, Terry's 58th birthday, at St. Jude Catholic Church followed by Internment of his ashes. A celebration of Terry's life will be held at the church reception hall following Holy Mass.
