Max Patterson

Max Patterson was born on March 6, 1923 in Celeste, Texas to parents Lloyd and Esther Patterson. He was the oldest of four children and was a provider for his family from his teenage years until he married his wife Joyce Beane on July 21, 1949. Prior to his marriage, Max was a member of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in the European Theatre. Max was a devoted husband and father. He was a salesman for Wilson Sporting Goods for over 45 years, and always made sure his family spent time together every year on vacations. The Patterson's were residents of Richardson, Texas for 57 years. Max was a member of First Baptist Church in Richardson since 1956 and served in numerous roles including Deacon, 4th grade Sunday School teacher, nursery helper and Worship Service Coordinator. Max passed from this life into eternity in the early morning hours of April 29, 2014. He is survived by his wife Mary Joyce Patterson, son Keith Patterson and his wife Patty, daughter Karla Younkman and her husband Rick, grandchildren Christina Taylor and her husband Brandon, Timmy Patterson, Ashley Younkman and Landon Younkman, great-grandchild Addison Taylor, sister Virginia Patterson, sister in law Bonnie Britt, nieces and nephews Greg Griffin and his wife Joan, Gary Griffin and his wife Debbie, Mike Britt and his wife Diana and Karen Skaggs and her husband Larry. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Allen Family Funeral Options. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Richardson, 1001 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas 75080 with Pastor Gerald Ware officiating.
