William Fulls

April 4, 1942 — January 21, 2011

William Dale "Bill" Fulls was born on April 4, 1942 in Wichita Falls, TX to Virgil Clarence "Bud" Fulls and Mary Virgene Fulls. On January 21, 2011 the heart God gave him was finally not large enough to keep up with the ever growing love he had for his family and friends and he quietly passed away in the company of his family at Medical City of Dallas.
Bill grew up in Abilene, Texas and was the older brother of two loving sisters, Suzy and Kathy. His family was very active in the church community and was as close as a family could be. As a young boy he spent many hours hunting, fishing, camping, playing baseball, basketball and football with his father.

Bill graduated from Abilene High School in 1960 where he lettered in baseball. He was so proud and honored to a part of the "War Bird" tradition and the life long friends that he had made. After High School he attended Tarleton State College on a baseball scholarship. After attending for one year, he decided his education was more important and transferred to Texas Technological College in the fall of 1961. While at Tech, Bill majored in Accounting and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Texas Epsilon Chapter.
After college Bill joined the United States Army Reserve where he spent six months of active duty. Trained as a combat engineer, he spent the next six years on reserve status until he was honorably discharged in 1971.

On June 8, 1968 he married the love of his life, Jeanne Ann Weiss in Abilene, Texas. They spent the next 42 years together raising a wonderful family and were blessed with a son, Matt, born August 1, 1976 and a daughter, Sarah, born June 13, 1984.

After living in several places throughout Texas and Oklahoma, they settled in Dallas, TX in 1978, where Jeanne still lives today. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who wanted to provide the best for his family, and he did. His family considers him the most selfless person on the planet. His devotion to his family came before anything else, and he did his best to instill these same values in his family. His son is currently raising an 8 year old boy of his own and hopes he can pass on the wisdom, patience, courage and compassion that he was taught by such a great man. His daughter is committed to carrying on his memory by continuing to work with her horses out at the barn where she and her father spent so much time together. The youngest member of the Fulls family is Bill's grandson Kyle and he was the apple of Bill's eye. Over the past several years the two became inseparable and were best friends. Bill's son is committed to teaching Kyle everything he learned from Bill because he knows "he learned from the best".

Bill will always be remembered by his family as "#1 bed buddy", coach, "hunting buddy", "barn buddy", "fishing buddy", "bike riding buddy", and "camping buddy".

Bill is preceded in death by his father Bud, and survived by his wife Jeanne Ann Fulls of Dallas, a son Matt of Dallas, a daughter Sarah of Dallas, a grandson Kyle of Dallas, his mother Mary of Abilene, a sister Suzy of Abilene, a sister Kathy of Texarkana and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W Park Blvd., Plano, Texas 75093
Following the memorial service there will be a reception hosted by the Livingstone and Koschak families at the Livingstone residence, 7610 Lairds Lane, Dallas, Texas 75248.
