Julia Kathleen (Kay) McIntyre went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on March 1, 2014. Kay was born on October 10, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee to parents Rodney Marcus Doville and Flora Mae Doville. She married the love of her life Gary Joe McIntyre on September 18, 1963 in Atlanta, Georgia and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She graduated from Northside High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas where she and Gary met in English class and were high school sweethearts. For college she attended TWU and later LaTourneau University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business. She first worked in retail at Rich's department store in Atlanta, Georgia, then later was a real estate agent in Plano for many years as well as working at Western Union, AT&T and most recently for the Small Business Administration as a Loan Officer. She was also a member of the North Dallas Business and Professional Women's organization. Kay loved her Lord and Savior and was a strong woman with quiet confidence whose smile, love, selflessness and kindness will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her. She loved to read, being at the ocean and enjoyed the time she lived in Florida by the beach. Kay's greatest joy was caring for and being with her husband and her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Joe McIntyre, her daughter Jennifer Christine Zapata, her son-in-law John Michael (Mike) Zapata and her granddaughter, Jenna Mychal Zapata. She is also survived by her brother Phillip Doville, sister-in-law, Marian Doville, sister Paula Ann Legris and brother-in-law, Claude Legris. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family members and special friends. She is now reunited with her parents, mother-in-law, Betty J. McIntyre and special friends. Kay will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to be a part of her life. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Stonebriar Community Church, 4801 Legendary Dr. Frisco Texas 75034. A reception will follow the service. Kay will be laid to rest at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma.
