Richard H King

March 13, 1934 — February 19, 2014

On Feb 19, 2014 Richard Henry King aged 79, our beloved and precious
husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather was called home to
the loving arms of God. He was a caring, kind, and generous man and
passed on that legacy to his family and friends. As one Irishman of few words once said, "There is no blow about him." He was the ultimate father and a great role model and touched the hearts of everyone he met. He loved to fish and hunt and would often repeat the adage, "Fish tremble when they hear my name."
Richard was born March 13, 1934 to Roscoe Henry and Rose Ann (Rubin)
King in Dallas, Texas. His early years were spent in Kleberg, Texas,
and he graduated from Seagoville High School. His life work was spent
in the air conditioning and plumbing business, and he truly treasured
the friends he made during those great years. He loved retirement and
spent quality time on his "property" in Mabank, Texas with his
friends, family, and his dogs Puddin' and Lucky.
He is survived by his brothers Jerry (Erika) and Tommy (Jeanette) along with his sons Ricky (Virginia) and Michael and his daughter Shonda. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shera (fiancé Joseph), Amber (Eric), Cody (Candace) and A.J. (Rosa) and his great grandchildren Zach, Max, and Hazel. He is also survived by Virginia's son, Richard Teson and her daughter Randi Omar (Brent) and their children Jakob, Bodie, Deegan, and Oliver. Richard is also survived by his cousins and extended family and friends. For the last 30 years he enjoyed a harmonious and special bond with his wife, Mary O'Brien, who together, showed the rest of the world how love was meant to be. His church family at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was very special to him. He was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Men's Club where he enjoyed his poker buddies.
A vigil service will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 7:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023 with visitation starting at 6:00 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 010:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Burial will be following the mass at Haven of Memories in Canton, Texas.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those who
helped him on his journey through life.
