James Alfred Trotter was born on July 14, 1943 to parents Ernest Alfred and Barbara Bruce Trotter in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. James will be remembered mostly as a family man in spite of his many professional accomplishments. James was especially fond of his hot tea, cold drinks with no ice and enjoyed cooking. His delicious Yorkshire puddings will be long remembered. He was a patient man who was never critical of others. He was an encourager to many, but always taught his children that the sky was the limit in any of their endeavors. Although considered by his family and friends to be a great man, James was never boastful. He quietly "walked the walk" but did not feel the need to "talk the talk." His family fondly remembers his impulsive attitude when the children were young and they lived in Florida. Even though it was four hours away, James would often decide the night before that the family was going to load up and go to Disney World for the day. He would arise early and pack sandwiches for the car, spend all day enjoying a Disney experience and then magically transport the children back home (while they slept in the car) where they would awaken the next morning all snug and in their own bed. James also enjoyed making things. Whether it was making model airplanes or decorating Christmas ornaments, he made the experience special and fun for the children and grandchildren. As the kids got older and chose Texas A&M as their college, James became a huge Aggie fan. He liked to display his Aggie pride any time he could which was consistent with his attitude of living life to the fullest in anything he did. James loved family, but was also very close to his canine companion Blinkers and his "grand-puppies" Max, Shadow and Bohdan. James passed from this life into eternity on January 31, 2014. He is survived by his wife Jennette, his son James Cesar Alfred Trotter (Geni Carrell), his daughter Jennifer Heather Moore, his son-in-law Lakeith Moore, his daughter-in-law Jill Michelle Trotter, his granddaughters Jacqueline Trotter and Julia Trotter, his grandson Devin Moore, his sister Brenda Trotter, his niece Maggali Bravo, his great-niece Abigail Zuniga, his mother-in-law Eva Silverman, his sister-in-law Tachita Bravo and his brother-in-law Marcos Bravo. The family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. until 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Allen Family Funeral Options. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church Plano, 4550 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas 75024.
