Adela or Baby whom she is fondly called by people close to her heart was born in Balete, Aklan Philippines on July 14, 1945 to Placido and Ferdigueza. She has 9 siblings (7 girls and 2 boys). She is the 3rd among the family. She grew up to be a beautiful person inside and out.
Adela was a teacher by profession at the Fulgencio Sur Elementary School and Feliciano Elementary School in Balete, Aklan for 12 years and turned successful businesswoman in 1970's. The family business is named E.D. Arceno Marketing in San Jose, Antique Philippines. It was a difficult decision for the family to move to an unfamiliar place not knowing anyone but she always found a blessing in any situation or difficulty; her motto is to always put GOD first in your life.
To her every situation in life, regardless of how tragic it may seem, is an opportunity to learn and grow.
She is survived by her husband Ernesto D. Arceno and her daughter Lynn Arceno-Bernadas, son in law Glenn M. Bernadas and her only granddaughter Breanna Marie Bernadas whom she loved so dearly.
She is also survived by her siblings Lucila Nartatez, Honorato Ibardolaza, Martina Salabante,Lilibeth Magee, Josephine Atienza, Myrna Altar and Perpetua Vidal.
She has one deceased brother named Candido Ibardolaza.
Adela always placed her family first . She was a caring, generous and kind wife , mother and a grandmother. She is very religious and God fearing person. Always ready to help others. Indeed she has a BIG heart, her love to others is overflowing . She has a very good sense of humor and people loved being around her. She exudes the wisdom of living life to the fullest. The family will greet friends at a visitation on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options in Plano. Adela will be laid to rest in The Philippines at a later date.
