Chung Kil Kim will be remembered most for the hospitality he bestowed on everyone he met.
He was known as the person anyone could turn to for help-from helping people abroad apply for a driver's license to installing a neighbor's satellite dish.
He treated everyone with respect and always possessed a cheery disposition. He brightened a room with his presence, and he went above and beyond to ensure visitors were treated as family.
Mr. Kim worked very hard to support his family, and he was very dedicated to his church community. He loved traveling in his RV, camping at Lake Murray, and football seasons.
Mr. Kim fought an eight year cancer battle, and God took him peacefully at a young age of 63 on December 14, 2013. He is survived by his wife Theresa, daughters Chong, Cynthia, May, Monica, sisters Kyong Ja Kim, Soon Ja Kim, grandchildren Anthony Kim, Sophie Lac, Jacob Lac, and his extended family and friends.
Many will remember him, yet no one will come close to emulating him. He will be terribly missed, but we know he is in a better place.
Family and friends thank everyone for the support and kindness through this difficult time.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023.
