Robert Winston Farrar was born on March 27, 1989 in Dallas, Texas to parents Wayne and Nora Farrar. He was a sweet and active baby. He enjoyed visiting his mom's home town of Tampico, Mexico and going to the beach. Winston was baptized in the Catholic Church in Tampico and became a Christian at an early age at Towne Lake Baptist Church. He attended private Christian schools for his first six years and was a graduate of Boyd High School in McKinney, Texas. Winston also attended South Plains College in Lubbock, Texas and was scheduled to graduate from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas with an Associates Degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in March 2014. He was proud of his accomplishments, was a responsible hard worker and was appreciated by his manager at work. He hoped to one day own his own business. Although Winston struggled and fell at times, as we all do, he always rebounded better and stronger. He was a great friend, caring older brother and loving son. He could be counted on when needed and was confident that the unconditional love of his mother would always be there no matter what he did. Winston loved the outdoors and enjoyed sports, fishing, golfing and snow skiing. He also loved dogs. He had a big golden heart and deeply loved his parents, brother, grandparents, uncles and cousins. Winston's brother Travis remembers him with the following comments: "Winston may not have been the perfect older brother but he was always there when I needed him. Winston was always there to give me advice and he always supported me. My older brother was a dreamer. He always saw the light at the end of the tunnel no matter what he had going on. And he never turned his back on a friend in need. He wasn't afraid to work hard if it meant he could help a friend. It's sad to think the world has lost someone as caring as Winston. I know he will be missed by all of his friends and family. The one thing I'm thankful for is that Winston got to meet so many special people and although he was still so young he lived his 24 years of life to the fullest. I know he's watching over all of us now from heaven and that his soul rests in peace. Winston, we all love you and wish you were still here with us today."
Winston passed from this life much too soon on November 4, 2013 at the age of 24. He is survived by his loving parents Wayne and Nora Farrar, brother Travis Farrar, grandparents Robert and Fairie Farrar, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and most of all many loving friends. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Allen Family Funeral Options. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3101 Coit Road, Plano, Texas 75075. Winston is at peace. He is in God's hands and is happy. He will be missed.
