Marco Demma, Sr. was born on July 29, 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Joseph and Marie Demma. After attending Hines Junior College, Marco enlisted in the United States Navy, served his country and ultimately received an honorable discharge. He then went to work for a finance company where he met the woman that would dazzle him for the rest of life. Marco and Blanche Russo met in June 1954, and married in November of the same year. Shortly afterwards, Marco accepted a position in sales with KitchenAid. It was that sales experience which led him to Glenbrook Laboratories and a transfer to Houston, Texas with his growing family in 1962. It wasn't long before Mead Products recognized him as a successful salesman and hired him in 1965 and he transferred back to his roots in New Orleans. Eleven years later, with 5 children and a successful career, the family moved to Kansas City, Kansas for a brief 18 months before landing in Plano, Texas where he has resided for the past 37 years, ultimately retiring as an executive with Mead. Marco was the glue that held his large family together and was an exceptionally loving and respected man. One afternoon, Marco pulled up to the house with a 29 foot travel trailer and the Demma's began camping. Their adventures took them across the Mississippi River, through the Smokey Mountains, to the Gulf Coast and back. Marco also took great pride in manicuring his yard and maintaining his pool where he loved to entertain with friends and family. With committed faith to their Catholic beliefs, Marco & Blanche renewed their vows of 50 years in 2004. Up until the day Marco passed, when asked how he was doing, he would reply "I have been known to be better," and as his grandson reminded us on that day, Paw Paw didn't just do better he did his best! Marco is survived by his wife Blanche, children Donna Casse and husband Chuck, Marco Demma, Jr. and wife Dee, Gary Demma, Gina DeBeer and husband Bob, Sheri Welch and husband Michael, grandchildren Kellie Casse, Kristi Washington and husband Jamar, Katie Casse, Ryan Casse, Marco Demma, III, Melissa Demma, Mandy Demma, Taylor Demma, Stephen DeBeer, Robert DeBeer, Elizabeth DeBeer, Christian Welch, great grandchildren Colin and Caiden Tullos, Destiny Washington, siblings Doris Cormier and Al Demma.
