Jean R. Moore was born on March 1, 1933 in Uvalde, Texas to parents Lobye and Mary Ella Rogers. She was a single mom in a time when life was difficult for woman to make their way in business. However, her dedicated and determined nature provided her with opportunities for success few other women experienced. She was awarded the Business and Professional Woman of the Year Award twice, while owning her own mortgage brokerage business. While she made her mark in the business world, she also was a success at home in her role as a mother. She allowed her children to be themselves but always kept close tabs on them; wanting to know where they were and what they were doing. She continued to maintain this level of interest in their activity even into their adulthood. She was true to her core in what she believed and instilled that trait in her three boys. In her later years, Jean enjoyed sewing and painting. She also hand-made several quilts for a number of family members over the years. She will also be remembered as a beloved friend and true confidant to those who were closest to her. Jean passed from this life in the late morning on August 21, 2013 at her home in Allen, Texas. Her family surrounded her at the time of her entry into heaven and watched as her eyes opened wide and filled with tears as she saw the face of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jean is survived by her sons Kenneth Moore and his wife Carol, Randall Moore, Sr. and his wife Sharon, Tony Moore and his wife Michelle, sister Claudette Fieseler and her husband Raymond Downum, grandchildren David, Randall, Jr., Stephen, Andrew, Timothy, Rebekah, Jonathan, Matthew, Caleb, Gabrielle, Joshua, great grandchildren Austin, Dallas, Collin, Abagail, Ethan, Paul, Samuel, Hannah, Bethany, Ruth, Emma, Brooklynn and numerous nieces and nephews.
