Kenneth Stuart Mandell Iii

Kenneth Stuart (Ken) Mandell, III was born on January 3, 1939 in Houston, Texas to parents Kenneth and Olva Mandell. Ken passed from this life on August 4, 2013 in Plano, Texas. He was a strong business man, who knew what he wanted and always went for it. He instilled his "take charge" attitude in his children and pushed them hard. They credit his influence for making them successful today. Ken was sensitive, loving and supportive as a father and husband. His sense of humor was amazing and he really had the gift of gab, making every relationship he had extremely personal. Ken adored his wife Goldie, and especially enjoyed taking long car rides with her. He cherished his best friendship with Sherwin and loved his German Sheppard, Charlie. Kens favorite singer was Michael Bolton and he enjoyed Jazz and the Blue's. He liked action and drama movies and owned each of his favorite movies. Ken was a Dallas Cowboy fan and his favorite player was Roger Staubach. He also enjoyed being on the lake, boating and fishing. Ken was a true Republican and enjoyed helping in election campaigns.
Ken is survived by his wife Goldie Mandell, children Bea Lynn Johnson, Kenny Mandell and his wife Lisa, Alicia Galvan and her husband Jesse, grandchildren Andreanna Johnson, Madison Flemmings, Zoe Mandell, Sophia Mandell, Olivia, Joey Ferguson, Sara Ferguson, Hannah Rollo, Avery Galvan, Seth Galvan, siblings Mary Mandell, Freddy Mandell, Sandra Mandell and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 10, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano,Texas 75023 with The Reverend Monsignor Leon Duesman, Celebrant. Ken will be laid to rest in the columbarium at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
