Dona Evelyn Rexroad

Dona Evelyn Rexroad, 90, passed away July 22, 2013. Dona was born to Frank and Evelyn Phillips on February 9, 1923 in Howe, Texas. "Donnie" (Dona) was raised in Durant, Oklahoma. She graduated from OCW and worked on a seismograph crew for Atlantic Richfield until she married her husband, "Rex" Gayle Rexroad. Donnie loved going "junking" and was an avid bridge player. In her later years she enjoyed spending her days at the Allen Senior Center playing bridge, dominos, or bingo. She attended Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, always returning with a good report from her beloved Sunday school class. Hanging out with her friends and meeting new people was her passion. Dona is survived by her daughters, Dona Gayle Watson and her husband John, Dana Louise Koehn and her husband Randy, grandchildren Jona Michelle Watson and Ryan Q.J. Watson, great grandsons, Reid and Jackson Riley and a host of loving cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Gayle "Rex", granddaughter Lynee Watson and brother Frank Phillips, Jr. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 1:00 PM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211.
